Cotopaxi
Cotopaxi, a (relatively) inert volcano and popular tourist destination, very much loomed over Latacunga. While not the tallest volcano peak in Ecuador (that's Chimborazo), Cotopaxi gets a lot of visits from day trippers out of Quito.
